D-DAY

About “D-DAY”

D-DAY is the first studio album by Agust D, also known as Min Yoongi and SUGA of BTS.

Reflecting on his 20s, Agust D once again addresses taboos as he writes about the harsh sides of relationships, mental health, and the dark side of success.

As talked about in an interview with PICKON, the album serves as the last part of the trilogy with his mixtapes Agust D and D-2:

This is the final installment in Agust D’s trilogy of messages. So we’ve gone the extra mile.

In a Disney Plus Korea interview, he addresses the album saying:

Until now. I have only made albums out of my personal trauma or anger, but I think this album is what I organized my pieces from a more mature point of view. And in a way, I am completely liberated by those negative feelings. A lot of people can’t focus on the present because they feel ashamed of the past and feel afraid of the future. Therefore, these are songs that have the message about focusing on the present.

“Haegeum” is the lead single for the album, accompanied by a music video that plays tribute to the music video of his last lead single “Daechwita.”
