Love, I hope we get on
I hope we can find a way
Seeing it all
Love, I hope we can be
I hope I can find a way
Of letting you see
That I'm so easy to please
So easy

Love, I hope we grow up
I hope we can find a way
Of seeing it all
Love, I hope we can be
I hope I can find a way
Of letting you see
That I'm so easy to please
So easy

Easy to Please is a most beautiful love song. I mean, Chris doesn't make this song too wordy; it's so simply put. He's attempting to let the lady in his life know she needs not try to impress, just be who she is, and he'll love her still and obviously if he's so easy to please, there's nothing that she could really do that would disappoint or repulse him. It's so beautiful like other Coldplay songs e.g.Yellow and Your Love Means Everything.

I love this song. To me this song is about a guy who really loves a girl, and he wants to grow old with her, and to be happy, But at the same time, he knows that he's not a good person for her, because he's so easy to please... it doesnt really matter to him who he's with.. he could care less. But this girl loves him so much.. and that makes him happy.. but at the same time he's trying to "find a way" to warn her that he's sooo easy to please. And he might hurt her, because he could easily find someone else. But at the same time he doesn't want to hurt her.. he would rather sette for her and grow old with her and make her happy, because she is very much in love with him.

This song is about someone who is struggling with thier emotions.

But i also agree with your interpretations. Absolutely beautiful song. so much meaning in 16 lines.

There's nothing to interpret in this song. I mean, the meaning it's so clear.

I take a different meaning on this song.. to me it's about him being hopeless and just wanting someone to love him. When he keeps referring to "love", i think he's literally talking to that part of his emotion

Those street sounds in the background are soo eerie, but they really make the song.

I absolutely love this song. it has to be one of my favorites. I feel it describes the way one feels when theyre absolutely head over heels in love. I dont think anyone could have described it better. i also love the way he personifies love. because everyone wants it. its almost as if hes trying to convince love. he wants that feeling and company of love to always be with him.

    My Interpretation

I see it that Chris wants someone that actually loves him. (in the song) And that he would be happy with almost anyone that would just show him compassion and love him for him, and not for the success or the fact that he's "hot".

    My Interpretation

The longing and hope reveals his lack of confidence.

His vulnerability is his dedication and declaration to simplistic expectations.

    If this song were true.

It would have done something more than hope.

I recently listened the song at night when I was driving with my car a bit around....creepy. I mean the song's meaning is obvious,.....but this voice + the background is just incredible!

I think that the third line is really "of seing it all" and the first line of the second verse is "Love, I hope we grow old." Chris Martin's voice is especially haunting in this song.

Classic love story true to his western tx roots. One of my favorites as a story, but I think there are alot of songs that are amazing not even listed on this site. I guess I should figure out how to add them, because I have about 8 REK cd's.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
