Hmm stupid in love
Oh, stupid in love, hmm

Let me tell you something
Never, have I ever
Been a size ten in my whole life
I left the engine running
I just came to see
What you would do if I
Gave you a chance to make things right
So I made it, even though Katy
Told me that this would be nothing but a waste of time
And she was right, hmm
Don't understand it blood on your hands
And still you insist on repeatedly trying
To tell me lies
And I just don't know why, oh

This is stupid, I'm not stupid
Don't talk to me like I'm stupid
I still love you, but I just can't do this
I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid

My new nickname is "You Idiot" (such an idiot)
Hmm that's what my friends are calling me when
They see me yelling into my phone
They're telling me let go
He is not the one
I thought I saw your potential
Guess that's what made me dumb
He don't want it, not like you want it
Scheming and cheating oh girl
Why do you waste your time?
You know he ain't right
You telling me this, I don't wanna listen
But you insist on repeatedly trying
To tell me lies
And I just don't know why

This is stupid, I'm not stupid
Don't talk to me like I'm stupid
I still love you, but I just can't do this
I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid

Trying to make this work
But you act like a jerk
Silly of me to keep holding on (oh)
But the dunce cap is off
You don't know what you've lost
And you won't realize
Till I'm gone, gone, gone
That I was the one
Which one of us is really dumb

Oh ooh
No
No
No, I'm not stupid in love

This is stupid, I'm not stupid
Don't talk to me like I'm stupid
I still love you, but I just can't do this
I may be dumb, but I'm not stupid

I may be dumb but
I'm not stupid in love

This is a great song, lyrics by Ne-Yo & Stargate. It clearly fits Rihanna's perspective well, but one should keep in mind that this song was not even originally written for her, hence the lyrics weren't written with her in mind, but could surely be related to by her. This song was offered first to Brandy (You can hear Brandy's version of it on youtube), and after was passed on to Rihanna. Great track, the minor key and signature stargate arrangements are reminiscent of Unfaithful and Cry.

I'm really glad Rihanna chose to write about her experience with a really bad relationship. I can relate, as can a good majority of the world. The song is just about her coming to terms with the fact that it's just plain stupid to stay with this guy and keep giving him more chances. He is obviously not a good guy and not the right guy for her. She is basically saying, I've done some dumb things, I've let you take advantage of me all this time, but I'm not stupid enough to take you back again, I'm done.

"So I made it even though Katy Told me that this would be nothing but a waste of time"

Pretty sure this a reference to Katy Perry, since they're good friends.

I think it's about a guy who is cheating on a girl, but she doesn't want to give up on the love. She want's to make it work, she tries to convince herself that he's the one, but he keeps on cheating. So basically she's saying that she isn't going to stay with him because he's a cheater, liar, etc. like some women would.

Its a song about her vulnerability during a tough time.. knowing that she shouldn't love someone, but she can't help it.

Kinda interesting how she says "Katy".. since Katy Perry is a good friend of hers and she was there for her after the whole Chris Brown situation.

its about her relationship with chris brown and how after he abused her, he tried to keep her and she wanted to stay cause she still loved him, but what he had done had hurt her too much and she wasnt "stupid" enough to stay.

I see this as what her friends and fans thought of her when she got back w/ Chris Brown.

Does anybody understand the reference about not being a size 10? It seems totally irrelevant to the point of the song...I must be missing something?

I am assuming its the american size 10 (which in the UK is a size 14) so i guess some of the comments Chris Brown made to her had been about her size saying she was fat or something? Thats how i interpret the meaning of it.

Light Up The Sky

The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
