Too long
Too long
Too long
Too long

It's been much too long, I feel it coming on
The feeling's getting strong
It's been much too long, I feel it coming on
The feeling's in my bones

It's been much too long, I feel it coming on
The feeling's getting strong
It's been much too long, I feel it coming on
The feeling's in my bones

Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)
Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)

Yeah

Yeah

Yeah

Yeah

At last the long wait is over
The weight is off my shoulders
I'm taking all control, yeah
My, my mind is set so free
I'm where I want to be
To get the best of me

Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)
Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)

I see, you feel the way I do, the feeling's oh so true
The good feelings coming through
My, my mind is set so free
I'm where I want to be, to get the best of me

Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)
Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)

It's been much too long, I feel it coming on
The feeling's getting strong
It's been much too long, I feel it coming on
The feeling's in my bones

It's been much too long, I feel it coming on
The feeling's getting strong
It's been much too long, I feel it coming on
The feeling's in my bones

Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)
Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)

At last the long wait is over
The weight is off my shoulder
I'm taking all control yeah
My, my mind is set so free
I'm where I want to be
To get the best of me

Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)

Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)
Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)
Can you feel it? Oh, can you feel it? (Too long, too long)

The song can also be interpreted as 'it's been too long since you/i/we had a chance to let go and release all that energy and relax and party (which is what ecstasy is all about anyway) and in doing so mirrors the first song on the albumn "One More Time"

It's about coming up on ecstasy and how we don't get to do it often enough and when we finally get to do it it's totally awesome.

In the background you can hear the female voice saying 'come on up'. "up" meaning high.

It's good to see a few other people realised the song was about this. If you've never taken pills you wouldn't know.

The title of this song is a pun.

It's 10 minutes long, so it really is too long.

This is one of those song that makes you shake your ass no matter what you're doing, If you heard this song in a funeral, you'd bust a f*kin move

I'll admit, most daft punk songs do not have any underlying meaning, but I don't care about that. They're great fun to listen to.

However, I do believe this song has a meaning. This song reminds me of myself, at the moment. For ages I've had this great huge to do list about various habits and problems I have, and things I want to have. I've just got out of school for the biggest holiday EVER, and I am finally free to do what I want to do without having to worry about exams and/or studying - I can finally let myself worry about my own problems and put my life in order (eg. FINALLY losing some weight, getting a good wardrobe, choosing and getting a decent haircut for the first time, etc). It might not be this songs meaning, but that's what this song reminds me of.

Also, yes - the name is a sort of pun on the song itself, as this song is the longest on the album.

90% sure this is about getting laid after a long dry spell. plus the reference to both "it" being too long, and the song itself being 10min.

Up until now, I thought Bohemian Rhap. by Queen (real long, not sure exact time) and Konstantine by Something Corporate(9:35) was about as long as they come. Funny song.

For me it's the moments when you'r with your girlfriend, if you pay attention it's like that, like the moment you hate.

Oh yea and also has a clear sexual reference: "Too long, can you feel it, too long, oh can you feel it"

and: "I'm where I want to be, to get the best of me"

I love how much people over analyze Daft Punk, People just don't want to believe that Daft Punk is that simple of a group, but they are, which to me is a good thing, I don't think any Daft PUnk songs have a meaning, they just are, kinda like jesus,

Daft Punk = French Techno Jesus

The Spy

Like a lot of the other comments are saying, I think this mainly about voyeurism. If the song was about his girlfriend, then why would he use the word spy. If you are a spy it means you shouldn't be caught, that is kind of the whole point, and if you are a voyeur, the whole point of the pleasure you get from it, is the fact that the other people don't know you are watching them. See a bit of a connection there?

Both as a standalone and as part of the DSOTS album, you can take this lyric as read. As a matter of public record, Jourgensen's drug intake was legendary even in the 1980s. By the late 90s, in his own words, he was grappling with massive addiction issues and had lost almost everything: friends, spouse, money and had nearly died more than once. "Dark Side of the Spoon" is a both funny & sad title for an album made by a musical genius who was losing the plot; and this song is a message to his fans & friends saying he knows it. It's painful to listen to so I'm glad the "Keith Richards of industrial metals" wised up and cleaned up. Well done sir.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.
