Killers Who Are Partying (Live at the Coliseu dos Recreios, Lisbon, Portugal, 1/12-23/2020) Lyrics
I will be gay, if the gay are burned
I'll be Africa, if Africa is shut down
I will be poor, if the poor are humiliated
And I'll be a child, if the children are exploited
[Pre-Chorus]
I know what I am
And I know what I'm not
[Chorus]
O mundo é selvagem
O caminho é solitário (É, é, é)
O mundo é selvagem
O caminho é solitário (É, é, é)
[Post-Chorus]
(É, é, é, é)
(É, é, é, é)
(É, é, é, é)
[Verse 2]
I'll be Islam, if Islam is hated
I'll be Palestine, if they're incarcerated
I'll be Native Indian, if the Indian has been taken
And I'll be a woman, if she's raped and her heart is breaking
I know what I am (God knows what I am)
And I know what I'm not (And He knows what I'm not)
Do you know who you are?
Will we know when to stop?
[Chorus]
O mundo é sеlvagem
O caminho é solitário (É, é, é)
[Bridge]
Eu sei o que sou
E o quе não sou (É, é, é, é)
Eu sei o que sou
E o que não sou (É, é, é, é)
[Outro]
Wild is the world
And lonely is the path
To come to you
About
After the rework in the stage setting that happened during “Fado Pechincha”, the curtains roll up once more to reveal a beautiful Lisbon alley. This will be the scenery for the next songs.
“Killers Who Are Partying” is a Fado inspired song that perfectly fits the atmosphere, and a relatively simple act. Dancers and musicians are scattered through the scenario wearing traditional clothes; in their spots, they dance, play and clap, while Madonna sings and moves around, dancing and interacting with them. As in “Human Nature”, the trumpet played by Jéssica Pina stands out in the song. This is also the performance with the most musicians onstage so far in the concert.
