Genius Annotation
Though Marianne Faithfull originated “As Tears Go By” in Great Britain in 1964, Michael Philip “Mick” Jagger and Keith Richards actually wrote and composed it, doing so practically under duress from Andrew Loog Oldham, their music producer. The Rolling Stones’s own version was initially released in 1965, on their album “December’s Children (And Everybody’s).”
