Find U Again Lyrics

[Chorus: Camila Cabello]
I'll try to pass the night away with somebody new
But they don't have a shot when I compare them to you

It's too late, too late
Baby, I know I'll never find you again
Find you again

[Verse 1: Camila Cabello]
Baby, baby, I
Walk in the late night
Looking for your eyes
Put up a fight to find you
Lose it every time
You were the last of your kind
All of the blame's mine

[Pre-Chorus: Camila Cabello]
And I remember you told me
That we could work it all out, don't you worry
And now the tears in your eyes make it blurry
But if you say try again, I'd be ready
I'm ready, yeah

[Chorus: Camila Cabello]
I'll try to pass the night away with somebody new
But they don't have a shot when I compare them to you

It's too late, too late
Baby, I know I'll never find you again
Find you again

[Verse 2: Camila Cabello]
Have mercy on me, please
I messed up to the third degree
This crush is kind of crushing me
I do therapy at least twice a week
There's a you-shaped space in my bed
Always you-shaped thoughts inside my head, like

I keep wishing I'd run into you
La Cienega, where I remember you

[Pre-Chorus: Camila Cabello]
And I remember you told me (Told me)
That we could work it all out, don't you worry (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
And now the tears in your eyes make it blurry
But if you say try again, I'd be ready
I'm ready

[Chorus: Camila Cabello]
I'll try to pass the night away with somebody new
But they don't have a shot when I compare them to you

It's too late, too late
Baby, I know I'll never find you again

[Bridge: Camila Cabello]
Find you again
Find you again
Find you again
Find you again
Find you again (It's too late)
Find you again (It's too late)
Find you again (It's too late)
Find you again (It's too late)

At the 61st Grammy Awards on February 10, 2019 Mark Ronson announced that he would be releasing a song with Camila Cabello:

She’s got this amazing song on my new record called “Find U Again.” I love it and she’s so great. I’ve wanted to work with her for a while.

On May 28, the pair took to social media to announce that the track would be released that Thursday, as the fourth single of Mark’s album. “Find U Again” premiered that morning on Zane Lowe’s “World Record” for Beats Radio 1. A music video for the song was released on July 9.

“Find U Again” features writing credits from Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, who provided the melody that the song was built around. Kevin and Mark have collaborated in the past, with the most notable track being Lady Gaga’s 2016 hit “Perfect Illusion”

The track also draws from Camila’s unreleased song “U Shaped Space”.

How did this collaboration come to be?
Genius Answer

In an Instagram post Camila confirmed that it was Mark who reached out to her:

when mark told me he was making a project called “late night feelings” full of emo bops sung by girls about love and heartbreak, I said……… I’ll be there in 5 minutes. I needed to be a part of it!!! I’d wanted to work with him for such a long time and have always been a huge fan. I had lyrics for a song I wanted to write called “find you again”, we went in the studio and finished it that day! (sic)

What did Mark Ronson say about "Find U Again"?
Genius Answer

Kevin had the melody… (we) were working on some music a couple years ago, it just stuck on to me. And then I was just like I can’t find a place for this on my record, until Camila came along and wrote those verses… we must’ve tried a couple people. But I don’t know what it was… When you’re trying to write lyrics to a pre-existing melody, it is very challenging and most people usually just like- she just nailed it. She cracked the code

Rolling Stone described the collaboration as “pure pop magic,” praising both Mark and Camila for their minimalistic delivery.

The Fader started off with criticism for Mark, saying “he’s never really been that great at actually making great pop” but went on to compare the song to “the best pop classics.”

Variety dubbed “Find U Again” as the most “pop-friendly track” of the album.
