Will You Love Me Tomorrow Lyrics

Tonight you're mine completely
You give your love so sweetly
Tonight the light of love is in your eyes
But will you love me tomorrow?

Is this a lasting treasure
Or just a moment's pleasure?
Can I believe the magic of your sighs?
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Tonight with words unspoken
You said that I'm the only one
But will my heart be broken
When the night meets the morning sun?

I'd like to know that your love
Is love I can be sure of
So tell me now, and I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?

So tell me now, and I won't ask again
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?
Will you still love me tomorrow?

Genius Annotation

The a-side to Mike Berry’s first single, “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” is a cover of the Shirelles' big hit, penned by the famed Goffin-King partnership, and produced by Joe Meek.

Besides the switch from female to male vocals, both in the lead and background, Joe Meek does much to change the arrangement from the original. The most notable difference is the addition of a far heavier string section, courtesy of Charles Blackwell, which drives the song forward and deepens the tone. Meek does away with the piano of the Shirelles version, too, in addition to toning down the percussion, an unusual choice for the drum enthusiast. To this mix Meek adds his usual chimes which puncture the otherwise heavy sound.
