In the Blossomentary, The duo talk about the origins of ‘'Stay’‘:

Stay is one of the acoustic songs. I remember the first time recording it at the beginning of the year. We had a party the day before, and we drank a lot. The next morning we were very hungover, but Clemens was really moody and had the song idea, and we recorded it. We tried lots of different rooms because we think it’s very important when you have an acoustic song to have the sound of the room noticeable. We want the listeners to feel the vibe and feel like they’re sitting in the same room listening to it.
