Hella Good Lyrics
The waves keep on crashin' on me for some reason
But your love keeps on comin' like a thunderbolt
Well come here, a little closer
'Cause I wanna see you, baby, real close up
(Get over here, get over here)
[Chorus]
You got me feelin' hella good
So let's just keep on dancin'
You hold me like you should
So I'm gonna keep on dancin' (Keep on dancin')
[Verse 2]
A performance deserving of standing ovations
And who would've thought it'd be the two of us?
(I didn't really think it could ever happen, haha)
So don't wake me if I'm dreamin'
'Cause I'm in the mood, come on and give it up
(Oh, oh, oh)
[Chorus]
You got me feelin' hella good
So let's just keep on dancin'
You hold me like you should
So I'm gonna keep on dancin' (Keep on dancin')
You got me feelin' hella good
So let's just keep on dancin'
You hold me like you should
So I'm gonna keep on dancin' (Keep on dancin')
Ooh, yeah, yeah
Ooh, yeah, yeah
(I never thought that but I've been trapped by what happened)
[Chorus]
You got me feelin' hella good
So let's just keep on dancin'
You hold me like you should
So I'm gonna keep on dancin' (Keep on dancin')
You got me feelin' hella good
So let's just keep on dancin'
You hold me like you should
So I'm gonna keep on dancin' (Keep on dancin')
[Outro]
(Uh, uh, uh)
(Uh, uh, uh)
(Uh, uh, uh)
(Keep on dancin')
(Keep on dancin')

This song has this total collision of all different kinds of styles and influences. The kind of cultural collision that would happen coming from the hip-hop world and a true band, and it’s the first time [we] had written with other people before, and it was really hard. It was like getting naked and trying to get really intimate with people you don’t know.

We wanted to write a dance track that you could actually dance to in a club. That was a big thing for us on this record, to be able to go to dance clubs and hear our own music being played. We’re going there anyway, so you might as well have your stuff spun in with the rest of it. I think we accomplished that. A lot of the stuff is groove-oriented. It’s really fun to dance to.
