Love Is a Rich Man Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I'll be your dancing horse if you let me
I'll be the last man standing, I'll be your clown
I'll give you what's left of my dreams in the morning
I'll bring you the catwalk, girl, you'll be the talk of the town

[Chorus]
Caught in the crosshair by the side of the road
Love is a rich man or so we are told

[Bridge]
You can run and hide to your happy place
But you can't deny what's on your pretty face
That what we knew, it's not coming back
Me and you will be lovers, and that's a fact, that's a fact
And you might help me rule the world, rule the world

[Verse 2]
All of the love and the power and the glory
Every time we kiss heaven is here
You are the star of my favourite story
And if I must confess, let me be clear

[Chorus]
I'm caught in the crosshair by the side of the road
Love is a rich man or so we are told
[Bridge]
You can run and hide to your happy place
But you can't deny what's on your pretty face
That what we knew, it's not coming back
Me and you will be lovers, and that's a fact, that's a fact
You might help me rule the world, rule the world

[Outro]
Love is a rich man
Love is a rich man
Love is a rich man
Love is a rich man
Love is a rich man
Love is a rich man

What did Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds say about "Love Is a Rich Man"?
Genius Answer

I can’t believe I’m going to say this but I actually wrote that while I was riding a bike. I’ve got a place out in the country, and I was just riding a bike down the country lane. It’s very kind of ’80s-period Bowie. And it’s got a marimba on it for fuck’s sake. It’s a funny old song. I do like it though. I love the backing vocals and the chorus bit is great, and the guitars on it are brilliant.
