Feel It Lyrics

[Intro - Hanibal Burress]
They dance to awful songs in white strip clubs
I don't want to see you dance to Marilyn Manson, the Dope Show
Why don't you dance to the songs rappers made specifically for the strip club?
"Shake that ass while I throw money that I made selling crack" like yo, this is good music for this environment

[Chorus - Capital Ode]
Oooh I can feel it
I'm almost there
Oooh I can feel it
I'm almost there

I came from nothing
Should I be thankful when that foot in the door feels like it might break off at the ankle?
I was down to a grand with bills to pay
"Down With The Come Up" out, finding it hard to feel that way
Moms want me to amscray and I can't blame her
Wanted her to believe in me but I can't make her
My mama got a prophet out her labor
But she still ain't seen the profit of her labor

Remember being 10 years old when we moved to the states and realized that the streets weren't paved with gold
And it was just as cold as the 6ix below
Even though the sun's shining on sunny south Florida
Waiting on my chance, waiting on my look
I'm a 6ix side young'n making money off the books
I'm a writer, not a biter, making money off the hooks
And this is one you probably should have took
Look
[Chorus - Capital Ode]
Oooh I can feel it
I'm almost there
Oooh I can feel it
I'm almost there

[Bridge - Lady Lita]
Ah ooh, can you feel it?
Ah ooh, can you feel it?
Ah ooh, can you feel it?
Ah ooh, can you feel it?

[Verse 2 - Capital Ode]
This my best song yet
Everything better bounce besides the check
I took a shot and I ain't get nothing but the net
Yet and still, niggas will
Fail to credit my accomplishments
And acknowledge this as something to behold
When it's old as a story to be told
Of how I did it on my own

But I'ma make um pay double what they owe
You're either for me or against me, there's no in the middle
Why's this Canadian baking making you sizzle?
You're watching all this money we're making
Wondering how much I take in and really what's my stake in this Child's Play thing
I could tell you the beginning but you'd wanna hear the end
And if I told you I ain't know it, you'd never listen again
So I'll tell you what I hope it is
The type of life a nigga hope to live
Peep my future and how dope it is

Genius Answer

“Feel It” picks up from the boy dying at the hands of the police on “Mama Knows Best”. This is my imagination of what death feels like. The first verse looks back on my life & the last verse imagines what the future could be if I don’t die young.
