Intermission Lyrics

[Interlude: Damian Lillard, Jaylen Brown & JaVale McGee]
What's good? This Dame Lillard AKA Dame D.O.L.L.A. checking in
You are now tuned in to Floor Seats II, you feel?
Yo Ferg, this J.B.
My mindset is totally different
Mentally, physically, I'm on a whole 'nother level from y'all niggas

Floor Seats II, you know the vibes
It's JaVale McGee AKA Pierre 2X
Only guy in the league winning championships and producing music at the same damn time
Shout out to my guy A$AP Ferg and shout out to
Floor Seats II, go crazy

About

Genius Annotation

“Intermission” is the sole interlude on Floor Seats II. It features late-‘90s-era mixtape-style drops from NBA players Damian Lillard, Jaylen Brown, and JaVale McGee. The three athletes shout out to A$AP Ferg and help promote Floor Seats II, which is heavily basketball-themed—from its title (basketball courtside seats) to the second track “Dennis Rodman” named after the former NBA player.

In basketball, the intermission refers to the 15 minutes half-time break which features entertainment such as cheerleading and musical performances.

Interestingly, two of the three players voicing “Intermission” have connections to the music industry. Damian Lillard is a rapper by the name of Dame D.O.L.L.A. and has released three studio albums between 2016 and 2019. JaVale McGee is a record producer under the name Pierre 2X. He has co-produced popular songs such as Justin Bieber’s 2020 song “Available” and released his self-titled debut album PIERRE in 2018.
