[…] Yes, I mean when you listen to Shabba, I shout Shabba out the same way. I have a habit of doing that, like whenever there’s an artist I rock with I’ll shout them out in a song like Dennis Rodman. But like this happened with Marilyn Manson. It just popped up in my head cause I think I got that really from Rick Ross, like when he was doing the big me song. […] Yeah, so shoutout to Rick Ross cause he definitely inspired that in me, like, to shoutout the people that we look up to. The icons. I did that with Shabba so I did that with Marilyn Manson and I’m like, ‘Yo, C.N.O.T.E, we got to get this to Marilyn Manson’. So C.N.O.T.E. hired like this P.R. person that got the song to Marilyn Manson but he fell out of contact with him and like there was a disconnect for about a year. So long story short, I see the song Marilyn Manson on my notes. I’m just going through my notes and I play it, I’m like ‘This shit is hard’ so I went to Marilyn Manson’s Instagram and I saw that he was following me and I wasn’t following back and I was like ‘Oh, shit’. I followed him back immediately, jumped in the DM and said ‘Yo, we need to do that song, Marilyn Manson’. He was like ‘I got it, I’ve been playing it at my shows for over 30,000 people every night, like at my concerts’. I was like, ‘Yo, we need to link up’. So I linked up when I came to L.A. with him and we just got the song done. Super cool, super cool dude. Extra turnt up. Everything you wouldn’t expect out of him. He pulled up all black. Black shades, black hair, glitter everywhere on his clothes, black leather jacket, black nails, big boots, like, it’s Marilyn Manson. All of that and he had a million words for me.
