“Touch Too Much” was released as the third and final single off Highway To Hell, a praise to a woman, who touched Bon Scott in unusual and really pleasing ways.
Since it’s inception in 1977, the song had went through many changes from arrangement to lyrics before the final version of the song was selected to be on the album. The final version was then performed by AC/DC on the BBC music show Top of the Pops a few days before lead singer Bon Scott died, in 1980.
Given Top of the Pops features playback, the song wasn’t properly performed featured in concert until 2016, given once they auditioned Axl Rose to sub in for Brian Johnson, it was one of the songs he showed off. (according to Angus, he went “Can you play this one?”, and the band went “No, we never learned it” as they had never attempted to play it live.)
