Say to You Lyrics

[Intro]
I don't know what to feel anymore, what do I have to do?
I hate and love the rain, but that's just how I feel 'bout you
Some days you make me feel so happy, some days I feel blue
You still remind me of the rain, that's why I fall for you

[Chorus]
Don't know what to say to you, yeah, yeah
Everything's okay to you, yeah, yeah
Lately, you've been switching up, yeah, yeah
I can't even trust your love, yeah, yeah
Don't know what to say to you, yeah, yeah
Everything's okay to you, yeah, yeah
Lately, you've been switching up, yeah, yeah
I can't even trust your love, yeah, yeah

[Verse 1]
How you gon' love someone else? (Oh-oh-oh)
How'd you leave me by myself? (Oh-oh-oh)
How'd you leave me all alone? (Leave me all alone)
Yeah, you used to be my home (You used to be my home)
I can't even lie (Lie), want you by my side (Side)
Yeah, you left me empty and it's something I can't hide (Oh-oh-oh)
Everybody knows (Knows), they say that it shows (Shows)
They know that I miss you, so I wonder how you don't (Oh-oh-oh)
[Pre-Chorus]
I don't know what to feel anymore, what do I have to do?
I hate and love the rain, but that's just how I feel 'bout you
Some days you make me feel so happy, some days I feel blue
You still remind me of the rain, that's why I fall for you

[Chorus]
Don't know what to say to you, yeah, yeah
Everything's okay to you, yeah, yeah
Lately, you've been switching up, yeah, yeah
I can't even trust your love, yeah, yeah
Don't know what to say to you, yeah, yeah
Everything's okay to you, yeah, yeah
Lately, you've been switching up, yeah, yeah
I can't even trust your love, yeah, yeah

[Verse 2]
Trust me, what you told me and what you show me
Thought that we was homies and that you know me
Didn't think you'd play me, I thought you'd save me
Yeah, you drove me crazy, you're still my baby
After what we've been through and all the problems (Problems)
I thought you would help me and we could solve 'em (Solve 'em)
Didn't think you'd play me, I thought you'd save me
Yeah, you're still my baby, you drove me crazy (Crazy)
[Pre-Chorus]
Don't know what to say to you
Everything's okay to you
Lately, you've been switching up
I can't even trust your love, yeah, yeah

Genius Annotation

Canadian rapper Ali Gatie is back with another ballad to tug at your heartstrings. The Canadian singer returned on Friday (Oct. 18) with another track from his eagerly awaited debut album, the love lament “Say to You.”

Gatie pines for a former lover while crooning about still missing his ex, but knowing he can’t go back to her because he doesn’t believe her love is real. “I can’t even lie, want you by my side/ Yeah, you left me empty and it’s something I can’t hide/ Everybody knows, they say that it shows/ They know that I miss you so I wonder how you don’t,” he sings on the mid-tempo ballad.

The “It’s You” artist also released a stripped-back visual to his latest single, which finds Gatie driving a blue convertible by himself down the lonely desert road with nobody else in sight as the song’s lyrics scroll on his windshield.

“I want to be like the perfect mixture of Ed Sheeran and J. Cole,” Gatie previously told Billboard of his career aspirations. “Somewhere right in the middle, where I’m not a pop star, but I’m not exactly a hip-hop artist.”
