In Electric Blue Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Think I saw you in a dream last night
Your heart racing, flashing feline eyes
You say the words, but I can't seem to hear
I feel the rush of energy, I know you're near

[Chorus]
I know it's kinda crazy, but it's true
I'm only in this world if it's with you

[Verse 2]
In the darkness, standing in the rain
You’re the vision no one can explain
I’m awake, so you must be alive
Don’t wanna wait, this time I know I won’t survive

[Chorus]
I know it's kinda crazy, but it's true
I'm only in this world if it's with you
I know it's kinda crazy, but it's true
I only dream you in electric blue

[Bridge]
Looking at the sky
All the way up there to the stars
I know, know you can hear me
All the way out there
[Chorus]
I know it's kinda crazy, but it's truе
I'm only in this world if it's with you
I know it's kinda crazy, but it's true
I only dream you in elеctric blue
I know it's kinda crazy, but it's true
I'm only in this world if it's with you
I know it's kinda crazy, but it's true
I only dream you in electric blue

[Outro]
It's kinda crazy, it's crazy, it's crazy
It's kinda crazy, it's crazy, it's crazy

What did Alison Goldfrapp say about "In Electric Blue"?
Genius Answer

I worked on this one with [long-time Bruce Springsteen collaborator] Toby Le Messurier Scott. I went down to Brighton where he lives and I just started jamming. It’s quite daunting for me to work with new people at the beginning because I’m quite shy and I worked with Will [Gregory, her Goldfrapp bandmate] for so bloody long. But I like the energy of someone completely new. It’s all a bit uncertain and I like that tension. This song is about a ghost- about feeling someone’s presence and yearning for some precious time. It’s a romantic ghost story, essentially. I was fantasising about being a teenager in some ‘80s teen move in
LA. It has a sweetness and euphoria to it that I really like.
