Killing Me Lyrics

[Verse 1]
What did I come here to do?
What did I come here to prove?

[Pre-Chorus]
You tell me it's alright
It’s alright not to know
And maybe it's alright
'Til it’s wrong

[Chorus]
Get yourself off my mind
'Cause I'm tired of you in my head
I wanna feel alive
But you're killin' me
You're killin' me dead
Get yourself off my mind
'Cause I’m tired of you in my light
I wanna feel alive
But you’re killin' me
You’re killin' me dead

[Post-Chorus]
You're killin' me
You’re killin' me
You're killin' me dead
[Verse 2]
Wanna be something to you
You don't bring me nothin', I'm wounded
I need to find a way, feels good
I need to find that thing to hold onto
I need to separate me and you
I need to find a way to the truth

[Pre-Chorus]
You tell me it's alright
It's alright not to know
And maybe it's alright
'Til it's wrong

[Chorus]
Get yourself off my mind
'Cause I'm tired of you in my head
I wanna feel alive
But you're killin' me
You're killin' me dead
Get yourself off my mind
'Cause I'm tired of you in my light
I wanna feel alive
But you're killin' me
You're killin' me dead
[Post-Chorus]
You're killin' me
You're killin' me
You're killin' me dead

What did Aluna & TSHA say about "Killing Me"?
Genius Answer

Aluna:

Having been a huge admirer of TSHA’s production I was so thrilled to get the opportunity to work together. But what came out surprised us both — it’s a catchy bop, but it’s still wonky and fresh with that distinctive originality that TSHA has us all in a choke hold. It took a while with us throwing the song back-and-forth and even in the trash at one point, but our joint obsession pulled us through and finally it’s ready to join the world!
