And how about that thing
You do when you're awake
A laugh with a sting
A bite from a snake
Oh please
Stay a while
God, I love your smile

About

Genius Annotation

In an audio commentary, Tom DeLonge wrote the song around a line from the Love film in which one of the characters looks at a picture of his wife/girlfriend and says “God, I love your smile”.

PROPOSED SUGGESTION: On August 8, 2017 via Instagram, DeLonge revealed that the song title was a quote from the late friend, and long-time engineer for AvA, Jeff “Critter” Newell. He would drink and dance to AvA songs in the studio parking lot till 4 AM. The actual quote from Toms late friend was,

I danced till the morning hours with only the moon as my witness."
