Before the song was renamed, multiple demo versions of “trademark usa” were previewed by Keem in one way or another.
The first part of the song was presumably written on November 20th, 2019. The second instrumental in the final song was originally recorded to around 6 PM in Los Angeles and the intro was recorded 30 minutes later. Both of these snippets share different lyrics and vocal takes than the final version.
Interestingly, the lyrics in the intro were shown to have been recorded prior to Keem’s XXL 2020 Freshman freestyle. It’s unknown if there’s a version of this song that has the rest of these lyrics recorded.
The second part of the song was originally previewed by Keem on Instagram on April 4th, 2021. This version is a reference demo with only a few lyrics that roughly match to the version heard on release.
