MOTHERBOARD (INTERLUDE) [Renaissance World Tour Live] Lyrics
In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove
And from this groove came the grooves of all grooves
And while one day, viciously throwing down on his box
Jack boldly declared, "Let there be house!"
And house music was born
I am you see, I am the creator and this is my house

I wanna stand around and beg you

About
Beyoncé kicked off her record breaking RENAISSANCE World Tour in May of 2023. It is her highest-grossing tour to date, and her first in five years following ON THE RUN II in 2018.
MOTHERBOARD was an interlude played between the tracks ALIEN SUPERSTAR/LIFT OFF & CUFF IT. It samples multiple classic house/bounce tracks, namely work by Cajmere including Percolator – Reworked ‘10 & Brighter Days ft. Dajae.
The first version of the interlude showcased futuristic imagery alongside a dreamscape-esque vocal by Fatima Al Qadiri. The second version (introduced on the US leg of the tour) incorporated the house tracks mentioned above alongside original Beyoncé vocals.
