The song Where Is The Love was released in 2003, in tribute to the 9/11 attacks. The song lyrics address the issues including, terrorism, racism, gang crime, pollution, war, intolerance and violence against LGBTQ people.
I think this song is about lack of love in the world and the madness it causes in the world. I think the point of the song is to have people realise that we should all spread love to one another and not hate, to stop discriminating towards each other and causing world havoc. They express all issues in the world in a meaningful and emotional way to get listeners to understand these major problems. “I think the whole worlds addicted to the drama”. They are seeking for love justice and equality for all.
I chose this song to write about because I grew up with this song playing and as I get older I understand the true meaning about and how important the messages of this song is, the emotions I feel listening to this song are definitely a sense of sadness but also hope for a step in the right direction for such a big platform to address these problems and hopefully be a step in the right direction for change.
