The Girls Are Fighting Lyrics

[Intro]
Hey, ey, ey
Hey, ey, ey

[Chorus]
Hey, hey, hey
The girls are fighting
Hey, hey, hey
The girls are fighting
Hey, hey, hey

I do my grieving early

[Verse 1]
It's a riot at Infernos
The filth are on their way
Lusty Casanova been making eyes again
The bouncers made a movie, upload it to Worldstar
Scrag fight!
She wants to send a message but she's taking it too far
Therе's blood on the dancefloor
Extensions on thе bar
I blame the Jägermeister and the vodka lemonade
And now these boys can't cope
[Chorus]
Hey, hey, hey
The girls are fighting
And the boys can't cope
Hey, hey, hey
The girls are fighting
And the boys can't cope
Hey, hey, hey
The girls are fighting
And the boys can't cope
Hey, hey, hey

[Post-Chorus]
I do my grieving early

[Verse 2]
How many times will he use the same lines?
How many maidens will fall for his charms?
How many? How many?
He crossed a line he should never have crossed
He promised her things

[Chorus]
Hey, hey
The girls are fighting
And the boys can't cope
How many times will he use the same lines?
Hey, hey
The girls are fighting
And the boys can't cope
How many times will he use the same lines?
Hey, hey
The girls are fighting
And the boys can't cope
How many times will you use the same lines?
Ooh! The girls are fighting
[Outro]
The girls, the girls, the girls, the girls
The boys, the boys, the boys can't cope
The boys, the boys, the boys can't cope
The boys, the boys, the boys can't cope
The boys, the boys, the boys

Genius Answer

The conflict here is about two women coming to blows because someone has been selling them dreams and lying to them, in order to get something he wanted out of them. That’s a theme that recurs throughout the record. It was a fascinating thing for me to explore, because I’ve always found those moments when people drop their masks of politeness, and real passion or violence erupts, to be strangely attractive.
