In Spotify’s track-by-track commentary, vocalist Oli Sykes shared:

Lyrically, the song’s all about closed-minded individuals that only accept what they’ve learned in school or been brought up by their parents. They refuse to open their ears to an alternative.

They believe everything they’re told. And until it becomes popular belief or a fact, they don’t dare think in any other way cause they’re scared of being wrong. Those same people really don’t like it when you think differently and they don’t like to think that we don’t know everything yet… I don’t believe in anything, I don’t have a religion that I follow but I’m open to anything and I don’t think that we know everything. Those people don’t like you thinking like that, they scoff at you.
