On the day the album dropped, Ricky Reed, producer of the track, mentioned on Twitter how it was a last minute addition to the album.

“Quiet” was a crazy last min addition. It was one of the first songs started by Scott and Camila, but never finished. So when we did our final album listen-back, Camila mentioned “Quiet” and we were like “fuck it, let’s try to write a second verse. And it came out CRAZY!!!
