About
Cannibal Corpse has—since its inception in 1988—written about zombie apocalypses, but this song reflects a modern twist on an old theme. Like the films “World War Z” and “28 Days Later", Evisceration Plague shows us a doomsday not populated by the slow-moving creatures of “Day of the Dead”, but by enraged, fast-moving victims of a virus who are destined to commit homicide… or suicide. This is one Cannibal Corpse’s slower songs that, as their bassist Alex Webber puts it, “moves the air”, at live shows. Its accompanying music video portrays a young man desperately running and hiding from the infected. Will he escape, or will he learn the meaning of “evisceration plague”…?
