Genius Annotation

According to Carey Burtt, “Led Zepplin” is a “sell out song” that is distinguished from the rest of Arena of Shame and has “nothing to do with … the ‘message’ of Carey’s Problem”.

The riff for this track was inspired by Jimmy Page’s solo album. Burtt told singer Lisa Jenio to list Led Zeppelin items for the lyrics.

“Led Zepplin” is by far the most successful track from Arena of Shame, having received FM radio play, but Burtt describes the track as “stupid” and claims it owes about as much to The Shaggs as it does to Zeppelin.
