Tell me that your mind's been changin'
I tell you that I'm no good at goodbyes
I could cut a thousand roses
Show you that I'm all torn up inside
[Chorus]
You feel safe in sorrow
You feel safe on an open road
Go find yourself or whatever
I wake up hollow
You made me vulnerable
So go find yourself or whatever
I hope it treats you better than I could do
And I'll wait for you
[Verse 2]
Tell me that we'll meet up someday
I tell you that I'm no good tellin' lies
Maybe when my heart's done breakin'
Then I could forgive what you tried
[Chorus]
You feel safe in sorrow
You feel safe on an open road
Go find yoursеlf or whatever
I wake up hollow
You madе me vulnerable
So go find yourself or whatever
I hope it treats you better than I could do
And I'll wait for you
[Verse 3]
You could spend your whole life searchin'
And I could spend the whole day just gettin' by
But every time the red moon rises
I'll stay up and I'll keep some hope inside
[Chorus]
You feel safe in sorrow
You feel safe on an open road
Go find yourself or whatever
I wake up hollow
You made me vulnerable
So go find yourself or whatever
I hope it treats you better than I could do
And I'll wait for you
About
“Go Find Yourself or Whatever” is the penultimate track found in the standar edition of Carly Rae Jepsen’s fifth studio album, The Loneliest Time, released on October 21, 2022.
It was revealed by the song’s producer (who also co-wrote it) Rostam that him and Jepsen wrote it in less than 20 minutes, despite this, it shows one of the most vulnerable sides of Carly in the album, she’ll still wait for this person with hope, even after the way they made her feel.
Rostam and Carly also worked together in the lead single of the album, “Western Wind”.

Song’s producer and co-writer Rostam said in an interview with Vogue that the two have written a song in less than 20 minutes during one of their late-night sessions.
I started playing a riff on guitar as we were winding down, and all of a sudden Carly started singing. Neither of us expected to write a song, but we couldn’t help ourselves. I think songwriting is very instinct based. [Carly] doesn’t second guess herself in the writing process, and that brings out a lot of honesty.
I love to explore those middle spaces between a feeling. It’s a pretty angry song, and writing it felt almost diaristic. I was coming from this mindset of, ‘Well, fuck you if you don’t know what you want from life, because I’m right here!’
