Initially written and recorded backstage at the Royale in Boston in 2019, “Glacier Meadow” is an indie folk duet between artists Field Medic and Cavetown.
On May 14, 2022, the initial demo was surprise released on Field Medic’s YouTube channel, and came out a day before Field Medic was revealed to be a supporting act on Cavetown’s largest ever headlining tour, Bittersweet Daze.
Five days later, the full version was released on streaming services, along with a video performed by dancer Victoria Bond.
The track features production similar to that of Cavetown’s fifth studio album, worm food, but parts of the demo are still noticeable, most evidently the banjo, guitar and vocals at the heart of the song.

Kevin [Patrick Sullivan, Field Medic] is my friend. We wrote this song many years ago on tour together, long before the pandemic. It was lost to time in those tough years, but Kevin recently found it. It’s finally being unveiled at just the right time. The dust is clearing and we can all finally see the “Glacier Meadow” together.
