On “Cheatback,” Chlöe sees cheating as the best way to get back at her unfaithful partner. It’s a collaboration with Atlanta based rapper Future, who was involved in a cheating scandal himself while with Ciara in 2014.
The track is the fifth single from In Pieces, and was first previewed during an Instagram livestream along with her 2022 singles “Surprise” and “For The Night.” Future’s appearance was revealed on March 20, 2023, when the album’s tracklist was unveiled.

This has been my favorite song for a while. The reason why I love it is because we’re human. We want people to feel the pain that they caused us. The pain that they caused us to make us feel like we’re not good enough and where it’s like, why didn’t you love me enough? Why didn’t you love me enough to stay with me and be faithful?
