I Know You Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I have so much to tell you
I have so much to tell the world, in my bed
And the people around me about you that I don't know where to start
I guess beginning is a good idea
If I only had the guts

We are living in this perfect edited culmination of moments that are being created in our heads
And it is amazing how our minds work

Love

Explosions and feelings surrounding your whole geographic space
But it is never the same feeling
Never the same sensations

Love is not a single thing
Love is plural
Love is where you want it to be
And right now, love is you

[Drop]
I know you so-so-o-o-o well
And-And

I know you so-so-o-o-o well
And-And
I know you so-so-o-o-o well
And-And

I know you so-so-o-o-o well
And-And

I know you so-so-o-o-o well
And-And

I know you so-so-o-o-o well
And-And

I know you so-so-o-o-o well
And-And

I know you so-so-o-o-o well
And-And

[Verse 2]
Falling in love, what a funny expression, right?
But it does feel like falling
Falling into a balck hole. And letting yoursel fall

It's almost like letting yourself jump off a plane. Cause' you don't know where you're getting
Will you survive?

You are incredible, but I couldn't write about you

[Drop]
Tense-ten-ten-ten
Oh-oh-oh-oh

Tense-ten-ten-ten
Oh-oh-oh-oh

Tense-ten-ten-ten
Oh-oh-oh-oh

Tense-ten-ten-ten
Oh-oh-oh-oh

Tense-ten-ten-ten
Oh-oh-oh-oh

Tense-ten-ten-ten
Oh-oh-oh-oh

Tense-ten-ten-ten
Oh-oh-oh-oh
Tense-ten-ten-ten
Oh-oh-oh-oh

[Verse 3]
Somehow, putting your essence into words makes it a little more real
Are you real? Are you an idea?
I don't know, I-I don't know
But I know that I think about every single second of my day

I haven't written anything in a while. And suddenly, all I wanna write about is you
Because you are art, you are becoming art second by second
You are a masterpiece in my head

So, how can I undress a soul like you?

God, I wish I could kiss you right now

Genius Annotation

I remember hearing Bruses' poem on her youtube page. I’ve previously discovered thanks to Lujavo’s song “Hurricane”, and ever since then I became a fan of her.

Her poem, as you may read/hear, talks about how devoted and in love she feels. At the time, I didn’t understand that feeling, but I did felt the strenght of it.

I also used one of Shiloh’s well known tracks. I was working on the track for a couple of months before X’s “17” project dropped, and I remember hearing the same sample the first time. All I could think about was “F*ck, now everyone will say that I copied his song!”

Fortunately, that didn’t happened. Mostly because I didn’t had the same level of recognition that X had back in 2017, and I’m still nowhere close to that either.

Anyways, big shout out to Bruses, Shiloh and Jah.
