TERRACOTA Lyrics

(Pula a casinha, pula a casinha)
(Aw, Aw)

Yo, what's goodie?
You can't see my face in this hoodie
Just got the green, now we dancing boogie
I need a sweet one, keep a real life cookie
I hate fake tan, why' you looking like Snooki
I need a melanin, with the fattest booty
Swing that shit to my bro, that's my dawg
No scooby, bad b wanna snatch she a groupie
Slide it in lemme do it that's tootsie
Offset now she's moving too boogie
Yoruba boy you know I got my culture
Praying from a distance, like a vulture

Defend my bro like Rio
Mans stuck in the trap with the reload
I play Honda D like Neo
Cats wanna rob mans waiting for the reload
Dropping some crop you know I'll sweep bro
Pass me the mic you know I'll spеak bro
She wants this D I can give her that big bonе
(she wants this D I can giver her that big bone)

I'm still district chilling
They can't chat about me and my siblings
Me and Trizz that's Siamese twins
Chase money that's bread no toast
Feds just copped that shop at the post
I'm hungry man I need me some teki
I put trust in my bro t-certi
Rise above hate like I'm getting up early
Late-night trips, stopped taking them journeys
Too many AMS man I like molee
Adjusting to shot I'm feeling like Werner
Hopped that fence just to grab on my burner
Need a sweet one to shake that she a twerker
(need a sweet one to shake that she a twerker)

I'm a hard worker
Like my dad I got a temper
You don't wanna see this anger
Trying to stay low but I'm deep like an anchor
(trying to stay low but I'm deep like anchor)
Break my shit in the D and it's wrecking my brain (aw)
Trying to earn this stack and fly from the cage
And give back to the fam
You know it's due one day
(due one day, due one day)

Nights in estates
Nobody tried to save me
I wanna see my bros go crazy, aw

Me and R.O we go back to the basics
I sent him this beat
Told him Jogo just made it
Back to the jungle
They can't understand it
This is meant for me
I can't even plan it

Same day in Sampa
The other in heaven
Born in the heat man
You know I love pressure

Yeah, we hang with Sicilians
We eat like Italians
Her pool had a ceiling
We dreaming of millions

Only eat from my plate
While I'm making this tape
I pray to Thereza that this is my fate

The verse came from Lagos
The beat from São Paulo
I'm back in the corre'
But it took a while

What's under that shirt?
Toma cuidado
The kids up the hill
They can scout you from miles
Three in the morning
I'm writing up reasons
Do not leave that house
And I know I should listen

When I heard my song
In the stage I was blessed
Cause this shit is a dream
To the guys in the ends

Jogo do bixo, you know I make bets
Thereza was balling even when in debt
The lawyers, the courtrooms you know how it went
That's why when I'm rapping I never forget (wey, wey, wey)

Pegando bituca de cigarro
Pra pagar esse álbum
(isso nunca foi fácil)

Terracota do lado
Ta avermelhado
Parade sagrada
(isso nunca foi fácil)

Tijolo mandado
Lá fora eles falam
Mas num fazem nada
(isso nunca foi fácil)

Escrevo' essas track
Dentro do barraco
Com o barro queimado
(isso nunca foi fácil)

Never thought I'd get lost in my country
No lança, high like the palm trees
No stop at the lights that's a death wish (não para)
Told the bros we gon' get rich one day (vambora)

Outside in the hills, no entrance
Turn the lights down, ask permission (sem vela)
No videos in the house, no Spielberg (deleta)
Acende o rojão, send a message (wey, wey)

(Terracota outside, I mean it
Used hop that wall, trynna' leg it
Nowadays calm kids don't get it
Brick city back home, esquece'

Depois vem nóis denovo
Marrento, muito novo
Yoruba e Paulista, fogo
É foda, é foda, é foda)

About

Genius Annotation

“TERRACOTA” is a reference to the clay brick walls I grew between. It’s where the bass from the large speakers echoed. The walls we hopped on as kids. Where he hung posters from Corinthians. And hid messages and all sorts. Terracota is the mud, the base of everything. It’s healing and natural, even in its concrete form.

It’s the hardest beat I’ve ever made. And it was even harder when my Nigerian brother R.O. hopped on it. He has some stories to tell and he is not happy. The Brazilian and African connection is like a brotherhood. And when you add a Funk Drill beat never done before, you can’t go wrong you know what I am saying?
