About
“Lethal Woman” is “about a girl [Cameron] met at a party”. Cameron describes herself as “casual” and “practical”, but this girl has changed her. She even admits that she’s not a “masochist”, but she likes the pain the “lethal woman” ignites in her. The track is layered with heavy bass, upbeat drums, EDM-like synths and keyboards and choir vocals to add to the dramatic emotion.
The track was originally teased as “Evil Woman” on Dove’s Instagram story on December 5, 2022, but was later changed to “Lethal Woman”. On December 6, 2022 Dove teased the track on TikTok, and quickly deleted it, and did the same thing again the next day.
On February 15, 2023, “Lethal Woman” was registered into ASCAP as it’s old title. It was later teased for the first time alongside the new name on June 1, 2023. It’s official announcement didn’t come until Friday October 13, a week before it’s release.
