About

Genius Annotation

The most anticipated album on my mind is without a doubt, Frank Ocean’s sophomore album, whatever that may be. Both Nostalgia, ULTRA and Channel ORANGE are amongst my favorite projects across any genre and I can’t wait to see what Frank does next.

The title Envoy, UNBOUND came to me as I was thinking about the type of person Frank Ocean appears to be. An envoy is a messenger and unbound represents both Frank’s hiatus from music until this point and his freedom through music. Frank is known for his storytelling and shows power lyricism throughout his entire discography. A few songs with powerful symbolism, lyrics, and stories that I enjoy, include: “There Will Be Tears,” “Pyramids,” “End/Golden Girl,” and “Wiseman.”

On a side note, the parenthesis that have the producers names consist of everybody that directly produced the song and pieced it together. I don’t feel it necessary to include every other person who does keyboards, guitars, etc., as this is hypothetical. I still might do it though.
