Rise is the first single from the new Extreme album Six coming out in 2023 June 9. It’s their first effort since the release of their 2008 album Saudades de Rock. On February 17, the band began to tease the fans with short music clips on their social media sites, to end on February 28. The song and the rest of the album is produced by guitarist Nuno Bettencourt.

Singer Gary Cherone said of the song, “Musically, it’s aggressive. Lyrically, it’s a cautionary tale on the rise and fall of fame. You get seduced into it. Once you’re on top, they’ll rip you apart and tear you down. That’s the nature of the beast.”
