I Went Hunting Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Lightning came the other day
I just sat at the window, watchin' the wind blow
And I got everything I'd ever owned
Drove it down to the ocean and watched it all float on

[Chorus]
Ooh, I went huntin'
Ooh, found a problem
Ooh, I went huntin'
Ooh, found a problem, found a problem

[Verse 2]
Change my name and book a holiday
Tryna get out my head, the fact is, I'm obsessed
And I always have been, mhm
Imagine havin' a thought and then thinkin' it again
Thinkin' it again, thinkin' it again
Thinkin' it again, thinkin' it again

[Chorus]
Ooh, I went huntin'
Ooh, found a problem
Ooh, I went huntin'
Ooh, found a problem, found a problem
[Bridge]
I am not the one to tell you
Nothing's ever gonna hurt you, mhm
I can't lie to you, babe, I can't lie to you babe
Trouble comes and trouble goes
And on and on and on it goes, mhm
I've been workin' on me, are you workin' on you?
I've been workin' on me, are you workin' on you?
Ooh, ooh

[Chorus]
Ooh, I went huntin'
Ooh, found a problem
Ooh, I went huntin'
Ooh, found a problem, found a problem

Genius Answer
What did George Ezra say about "I Went Hunting"?
Genius Answer

This is the next track from Gold Rush Kid that I wanted you to hear because it’s comes at a point in the record where there’s this shift in feeling and these songs are some of the most introspective I can remember having ever been while writing. When I hear this song, I’m still very grateful to George from the past for being able to put into words something that at times feels impossible to explain.
