About
Hwasa said the song ‘I love my body’ is really simple, straightforward, but with a powerful message.
She chose this song as the first release by PNATION because of her controversy towards her actions in a University Festival where people criticized her saying her performance was inapropriate.
Hwasa had just arrived in USA, for her first tour there with MAMAMOO, when she saw a lot of messages on her phone talking about her controversy. She said in the Sung Si Kyung Youtube Show that she usually don’t care about hate comments, but this time was too strong to the point where after her first concert in New York she couldn’t handle it and cried the hardest she had ever cried in that year.
During the following weeks during the North America tour, Hwasa received a call from PSY, who she wasn’t signed to yet, and sent her the song, which she loved because it was exactly what she was feeling and was struggling with due to her controversy, what made her want to release this song as her next comeback.
Hwasa also says she finds the title ‘I love my body’ delightful, and immediately reminds her of how she feels.
