L'altra Dimensione, Another Dimension, is the third song on Måneskin’s debut studio album, Il ballo della vita, the Dance of Life. Written by Damiano David, the song talks about leaving to “another dimension”, with the promise that they will escape from “sweet Marlena”. Contrary to the lyrics in the first verse, the lyrics later talk about begging Marlena to dance with them, referring to that as “the dance of life”, such is the name of the album.
Måneskin have said they decided to make a concept album about Marlena, who represents “freedom and artistic expression”, and that she is the “personification of the concept of freedom”. Måneskin have not confirmed whether or not Marlena is a real person.
