This is a freestyle remix of Roddy Ricch’s “The Box”. The freestyle is about how I deviate from the mainstream and deal with detractors. The whole verse flips the lyrics of The Box with the extensive use of wordplay in various forms.
If you look at my previous instagram remixes, you will notice a trend of a gradual increase in confidence which now verges on cockiness in this freestyle due to the battle-rap formatted punchlines (or haymakers).
This increase in confidence is directly related to Something New where I battle with my confidence, and this theme will stay recurrent in my future projects in different forms.
