Rockin’ and Rollin’ Lyrics

[Verse 1]
He's got money
He's got lovin'
But music's got a hold on me
It's got me rockin' and rollin', rollin'

[Verse 2]
He made promises
He did, too
But this music's got a hold on me
It's got me rockin' and rollin', rollin'

[Chorus]
Rockin' and rollin'
Steppin' and strollin'
I say the music's got a hold on me
It's got me rockin' and rollin', rollin'

[Verse 3]
I got rhythm
Wanna give it to you
But this music's got a hold on me
It's got me rockin' and rollin', rollin'

[Verse 4]
I got fever
It's 'bout a hundred two
But this music's got a hold on me
It's got me rockin' and rollin', rollin'

Steppin' and strollin'
This music's got a hold on me

Genius Annotation

The piano version was first released on the compilation album Golden Empire in 1985. The songwriting is erroneously credited to William Myles Nobles (Billy Myles), who wrote Rockin' and Rollin' Again for Annie Laurie.

Another, funkier version was released on Tina Turner’s solo album Acid Queen in 1975.
