She tells us on Instagram how the offer came to her on a moment’s notice and she had to hurry and work on it between her tour dates.

While Carl Brave and I were eating good […] the Imagine Dragons asked me to sing this song, “Birds,” with them.
A pleasant and unexpected surprise, but also a challenging one, as I recorded my part at night while I was still touring. How could I say no, after La Rua and I declared eternal love to them and, especially, to their incredible song “Radioactive”? I just couldn’t do it.
