Demonz (Interlude) Lyrics

[Verse: Brent Faiyaz]
Can't ever do right, can't lose this fight, I'm already low
I think the demons are winning
I can't ever do right, I can't lose this fight, I'm already low
I think I need new beginnings
I think the demons are winning
They beat me up
Don't wish me away, wish me luck, yeah yeah
I'll be good either way
Who am I to say what good ain't?
I'm finding my way, my way (Way)
You can feel it inside you
Don't let it in, it likes you
Don't let it in, feel it inside you
Don't let it in, it likes you

Genius Annotation

“Demonz (Interlude)” is the fourth track from Juice WRLD’s sophomore album Death Race for Love. It features guest vocals from Maryland native R&B singer Brent Faiyaz.

On the track, Faiyaz calmly sings about fighting his demons.

The song originally began as a solo Brent Faiayz track. However, Faiyaz' manager, Dash, wanted Faiyaz on Death Race for Love, because it was fitting with the previous track on the album, “HeMotions”, as both of the tracks discuss similar topics.

Paperboy Fabe, the track’s co-producer once addressed this topic:

It ended up getting in the hands of Juice WRLD’s A&R through Faiyaz’s manager. Dash wanted Brent on the project as an interlude. Because of what Juice WRLD was talking about in the previous song, it leads right into ‘Demonz’ — A lot of people have inner darkness that they’re trying to overcome.
