Talk About It Lyrics
Feeling every day
You ain't got no reason to walk away
I'm healing, operate
Help me find the meaning on the way
[Pre-Chorus]
What I gotta do? To start up with you
What I gotta do? To start something new
What I gotta do? To start living in the sunshine every day
[Chorus]
Let's talk about it, don't run
Please just talk about it, how you changed my life
Let's talk about it, don't run
'Cause I knew you when you came along
(Let's talk about it, don't run
Could you talk about it?)
[Verse 2]
True love, won't pretend
We don't need no slow dance in the sand
Promise you I'll feel good once again
And I will be there with you when it ends
[Pre-Chorus]
What I gotta do? To start up with you
What I gotta do? To start somеthing new
What I gotta do? To start living in the sunshine еvery day
Let's talk about it, don't run
Please just talk about it, how you changed my life
Let's talk about it, don't run
'Cause I knew you when you came along
[Bridge]
The highs and lows, I will always be there
The higher you go, I will always be there
The highs and lows, I will always be there
The higher you go, I will always be there
I will always be there, I will always be there
[Chorus]
Let's talk about it, don't run
Please just talk about it, how you changed my life
Let's talk about it, don't run
'Cause I knew you when you came along
(Let's talk about it
Let's talk about it, don't run
Let's talk about it)
About
The song refers to a current relationship in which the artist feels as if his/her partner is considering walking away. However, he makes it clear to his partner that they should “Talk About It” and not give up yet, after all, they have so much history together that it would be a mistake to quit so soon. At the end of the song he makes it clear to his partner that he will “always be there” through the highs and lows.

The producer Inflo was in town when we were recording in LA and we just started jamming and came up with this. The drums have a sense of [The Jam’s] “Town Called Malice” or The Stone Roses to them. It’s another one of those songs that feels like it’s taken something from different eras and then pieced them all together. We wanted to hold on to the drum breakbeat that started it off and we just wouldn’t let go of it until it was finished, not tweaking it or changing it but allowing it to sit in its original form.
