Reason to Love L.A. Lyrics
I'm about as small town as you can get
I'm talkin' two lanes, one cop
Plowed up fields catchin' red sunsets
We get nervous when the rain stops
Never had a reason to leave this place
Never had a reason to get away
[Chorus]
The wheels just touched down in California
Man, I don't even like to fly
I just gotta see her with the sun
Shinin' on her in the water
Chrome aviators on her eyes
I never had a reason to get away
I never had a reason to see this place
She gave me a reason to love L.A
[Verse 2]
She said she had to be where that sun dropped down
I'm talkin' fast lane, goodbye
She'd chase it all the way 'til that road ran out
And parked it underneath the pink sky
I wanna hear those waves come crashing in
I wanna feel that Santa Ana wind
I wanna go everywhere she's been
Hold her again
The wheels just touched down in California
Man, I don't even like to fly
I just gotta see her with the sun
Shinin' on her in the water
Chrome aviators on her eyes
I never had a reason to get away
I never had a reason to see this place
[Chorus]
The wheels just touched down in California
Man, I don't even like to fly
I just gotta see her with the sun
Shinin' on her in the water
Chrome aviators on her eyes
I never had a reason to get away
I never had a reason to see this place
She gave me a reason to love L.A

In a video for his YouTube channel, ‘Reason To Love L.A – Behind The Song, Jason said:
“My guitar player, and bass player, were actually songwriters on it. It’s got all the cool stuff in it, like planes, and cars, and beaches, and sunglasses. It paints the picture for you really well. That’s another thing I love about songs too, when they really can paint the picture.
My buddy refers to it as song furniture. Where the song is the room, and you can let people visualise it without seeing it, but they can see it through your words. I think that this is one of those songs that really does that where you can really see what’s going on during the song, and that’s important."
