“Run This Town” Lawsuit Lyrics

TufAmerica Inc alleges in a lawsuit filed on Wednesday that Jay Z's "Run This Town" samples the 1969 song 'Hook & Sling' more than a dozen times. The song, recorded by Eddie Bo, is now owned by TufAmerica, who bought the rights 15 years ago.

Unlike many other such lawsuits, the allegedly lifted samples are not easy to discern. In fact, I'm having a hard time finding any sonic similarities in the two tracks.

What do you think?

Peep the two songs and see if you can make out the alleged illegal samples. Use the suggestion box below to tell us if you agree with the lawsuit.
