OneRepublic vocalist Ryan Tedder features heavily on the song, including in the vocal-chops which form the song’s drop. Tedder sings about a couple that decides to leave their boring lives behind to find adventure in the world beyond their hometown.

The song may have taken influence from the Netflix Original show with which it shares a name.

It should probably be worth noting that the name of the album this track is featured on is “Kids in Love” and two of the main characters in Netflix’s Stranger Things, Mike and Eleven, are currently in a relationship, which was confirmed in Season 2.
