“Rover” is the lead single off of KAI’s third mini-album of the same title. The song interpolates the 2022 single by the same name released by Bulgarian artist DARA.
“Rover” is a dancehall song featuring heavy bass, marimba, bells, and various percussions. Lyrically, it is different from DARA’s version as it describes one’s experience of breaking free of the constraints of what others think. The rover describes a person who spends their time wandering.
The music video of the song finds KAI taking on different personas and pursuing his dreams of becoming a performer.
