“New Body” is a star studded collaboration that focuses on the artists' spiritual connection with God. The themes of the album’s version of the track are very different from the original, leaked version, which disparaged body shaming and crudely discussed explicit sexual intercourse.
The updated version features no curse words in an attempt to change the message behind the song and make it less explicit. For example, the line “New walk, new talk” was originally “new ass, new tits,” directly demonstrating Kanye’s new approach to the track.
It was rumored that the track was the reason for Jesus Is King’s delay, since featured Nicki Minaj decided to redo her original verse prior to its release. Eventually, it was confirmed that Nicki was dropped from the song and that the updated version would not appear on the album.
