[Verse 2: Future]
Comin' from the blitz, turn to your ashtray
You can have a bad day
Pull up with a stick, three thou' shots, André
Top of the world, **** get starstruck, I just be oiled up
Calm my nerves, hangin' with narcos, shoot like vato
Bales at the loft, I can go golf, mmm
Flyin' out to New York, she do it with an arch
Rick James, drip on my cloth
Why must I explain? When I'm with my dawg, right or wrong
About
Kanye West brings “Pablo,” a trap banger with Donda 2’s executive producer Future and frequent collaborator Travis Scott. The song’s title seemingly stems from Ye’s seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo, which was inspired by Pablo Escobar, Pablo Picasso, and the Apostle Paul.
The song was spotted on the first two Donda 2 tracklists posted by Kanye on February 18 and 19, 2022. The song was debuted during the Donda 2 album listening party on February 22, at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida. The next day, the song was one of the first four songs to be officially released exclusively on the Stem Player.
On March 7, when the album became available to stream on the Stem Player website for the device owners, “Pablo,” alongside “Security” became temporarily available for everyone.

Producer ATL JACOB shared some words about the song’s production process in a June 1, 2022 interview with XXL:
‘Pablo,’ I made that one with this producer team FnZ. They did the loop, but I had made the beat. The beat was actually sped up. Kanye had this idea to morph the beat and slow it down where it still stretched like that, but it still hits. So, shout-out to Kanye for that idea, too. It was different, you know? I feel like that’s Kanye’s first club song in a long time.
This song marks the second collaboration between Kanye West and Future with the first collaboration being Future’s 2014 hit “I Won,” the third being Kanye West’s “Mr. Miyagi” and the fourth being Kanye’s “Paid To Talk / Do I Look Happy?”.
