Forgotten Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Digesting deceit, I'm broken faulted
And that's just better for me (Ah-ah, oh-oh)
This situation intrigues, I am assaulted
I don't know how I succeed

[Chorus]
(Bow down) Where am I now?
(Somehow) A plaything at your discretion now
Pulling away this veil I see (Oh, oh)
Realize this path's not meant for me (Oh, oh)
Stripped away are all my needs (Oh, oh)
And now all that's left is forgotten

[Verse 2]
I want to be free, you won't allow it
It makes me drop to my knees (Ah-ah, oh-oh)
What must I do to appease? My effort's scalded
I guess I'll have to concede

[Chorus]
(Bow down) Where am I now?
(Somehow) A plaything at your discretion now
Pulling away this veil I see (Oh, oh)
Realize this path's not meant for mе (Oh, oh)
Stripped away are all my needs (Oh, oh)
And now all that's left is forgottеn
[Bridge]
One day I must decide if I'm worth it
Gave it life and I realized it took it
Don't feel bad for me, don't feel sad for me
Don't feel bad for me, don't feel sad for me

[Chorus]
(Bow down) Where am I now?
(Somehow) A plaything at your discretion now
Pulling away this veil I see (Oh, oh)
Realize this path's not meant for me (Oh, oh)
Stripped away are all my needs (Oh, oh)
And now all that's left is forgotten

Brian “Head” Welch:

It’s a great opener, I think. That song reminds me of just going into the studio and starting this whole record. It takes me back. Jonathan’s lyrics are amazing, I love the opening riff… I really love where that song went.

What a perfect song to unleash the new record, you know, Start The Healing. It just speaks volumes about what Jonathan went through, and where we’re at as a band now, and then you can translate that over to the world. [Korn’s 2019 album] The Nothing was very personal record for Jonathan… a very, very, very heavy record. [But] you can’t stay there in the heaviness forever, you know, you’ve got to move on, you’ve got to grow, you’ve got to heal.

Requiem feels not as heavy, subject-wise, and i like that. I’m very happy with the new record being more light, you know, and more vulnerable.
